Tomorrow, November 11th, is Remembrance Day where we pay tribute to the men and women who have lost their lives in the line of duty since the first World War. Not to trivialise their brave efforts and being a site focused on felines, I wanted to mention that cats played a part in the WW1 too, acting as poisonous gas detectors and ratters in the trenches. But another equally important job for them was to keep up moral and provide a small comfort in an otherwise depressing situation.
